The National Environment Commission Secretariat as the coordinating agency for the National Adaptation Programme of Action (NAPA II) Project, 2014-2017, organized a day-long Knowledge sharing workshop on 6th April 2018 in Thimphu to share experiences and lessons learned from the Project. Over 60 people participated in the workshop from across the agencies, academic institutes, Civil Society Organizations and Non-Government Organizations.

The primary objective of the NAPA II Project is to enhance national, local and community capacity to prepare for and respond to climate-induced multi-hazards to reduce potential losses of human lives, national economic infrastructure, livelihoods, and livelihood assets.

The objectives of the workshop were to:

  1. To share some of the lessons learned and the outputs delivered from the NAPA II project with the wider audience in order to facilitate use of information generated from the project with other stakeholders; and
  2. To create awareness on climate change adaptation through the deliverables of the various outputs of the NAPA II project.

The 9 different agencies involved in the project made presentations at the workshop to share their experiences, lessons learned and knowledge. All the materials of the workshop are being shared here and on the NECS website
