The National Environment Commission (NEC) in collaboration with UN Environment is organizing a two days training program on “The Montreal Protocol Enforcement” 3 – 4 November 29017, Hotel Namgay Heritage, Thimphu. The training programme is organized to educate and familiarize the customs officials on the roles and responsibilities of enforcement agencies in the enforcement of Montreal Protocol. The training is the part of ongoing support and initiatives from UNEP and National Ozone Office, NEC in fulfilling Bhutan’s commitments towards accelerated phased out of Ozone Depleting Substances by 2025 as compared to 2030 by rest of the world. This training will be held for two days from 3 to 4th November 2017 and will be attended the key customs officials from six regional offices (Paro, Phuentsholing, Thimphu, Gelephu, Samdrupjongkha and Samtse). A total of more than 30 participants will be trained under this training program.
