SEA is a process that ensures significant environmental impacts arising from policies, plans or programs are identified, assessed, mitigated, communicated to decision-makers, and monitored whilst enabling opportunities for community involvement. The training workshop on strategic environment assessment (SEA), review of draft SEA general guideline and legal aspects are scheduled from 4-9th July 2016 at Paro. The taskforce/participants will be trained on SEA good practices, methodology and processes involved, and decision making from 4-6th July 2016. Participants will review the draft SEA general guideline from 7-8th July 2016 and finally discuss on SEA legal aspect on 9th July 2016.
The training workshop is conducted in partnership and support from Asian Development Bank (ADB) under TA-7566.
